JOB SUMMARY:
The EpicPromise Employee Foundation (EPEF) provides $1M+, annually, in financial grants to Vail Resorts employees and their families. The EpicPromise Employee Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit funded by Vail Resorts, company employees, and the community. We have three grant programs: an Emergency Relief grant program and two scholarship grant programs: Educational Ascent and EpicPromise Scholars.
The Sr. Specialist of Fundraising is responsible for employee engagement and donor management for the EpicPromise Employee Foundation. Working in partnership with the Director of Community Impact and EPEF and Board, this role will have the primary responsibility to build and execute annual fundraising targets and plans. Success in this role will include increasing program awareness and loyalty among Vail Resorts employees and guests and increasing the Foundation’s overall fundraising efforts and donor connection.
The Sr. Specialist reports to the Director of Community Impact and EPEF. We are looking for a candidate who is a team-player, self-starter, demonstrates strong peer leadership, and cares deeply about helping others.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3+ years working at nonprofit, with nonprofits, or in a corporate social responsibility setting accompanied by a proven track record of meeting fundraising goals and building strong donor relationships
- Experience in community fundraising, major gifts, planned giving, digital fundraising, events, etc.
- Demonstrated project management skills and excellent attention to detail are required; strong data analytics skills, a plus
- Excellent interpersonal skills, written and verbal communications skills, and strong customer service orientation
The expected Total Compensation for this role is $61,286 - $70,000. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
Responsibilities:
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Fundraising and Donor Management
- Build brand-new fundraising programs that center on community giving and then expand to planned giving, major gifts, institutional giving and more.
- Develop and manage a fundraising budget
- Manage and grow employee payroll donations (targeting a 10% employee base)
- Develop and manage existing internal and external Giving Campaigns from strategy and execution to reporting, resulting in more engagement and increased donations
- Develop relationships across Vail Resorts Inc. to help support fundraising campaigns and partner with marketing, retail, and other teams to develop and execute fundraising campaigns at key times throughout year
- Cultivate donor relationships and own the charity tax receipt and gift acknowledgment process
- In partnership with the Sr. Manager, develop and manage fundraising budgets; be responsible for meeting or exceeding revenue goals
- Regular tracking of program performance metrics and reporting of goals
