We are currently seeking a Senior Specialist: Metallurgy to join our Perth-based Central Technical Office (CTO) Technical Services Team.
Reporting to the Manager: Metallurgy (Australia), this role is responsible for providing direct operational support to the Australian sites, contributing to regional Studies & Projects, involvement in the Business Planning cycle and Discipline Health of Metallurgy & Processing. The role will lead or support specific company-wide CTO initiatives as required. The role will suit an established Metallurgist with an interest in expanding their experience across multiple sites, studies & projects and corporate activities.
Offered as a permanent full-time position, this role is on a Monday to Friday (5/2) roster, based in our corporate Perth office. Regular travel to the Australian sites (approximately 25%) is expected.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Provide expert advice and support for short-term operational issues, and medium to long term improvement initiatives
  • Identify deficiencies in plant performance, provide recommendations and be willing to support or lead such activities
  • Contribute to Regional Studies & Projects in a Metallurgy & Processing lead role
  • Review and support Business Planning cycle activities with regards to physicals, costs and capital deployment for quarterly, annual and life of mine plans
  • Support regional and corporate Discipline Health through the sharing of technical knowledge, skills and coaching of colleaguesUndertake specific company-wide initiatives under the umbrella of the CTO group.
