Description:
Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
This role is responsible for maximising the sales, profitability and brand equity of Emerging Markets eCommerce through the management and execution of both:
- Pricing management for all product categories in eCom, in line with the company brand strategy and financial goals (net sales, margin, markdown and inventory targets).
- Support the definition and execution of product Life cycle management, including MSS and EOSS.
- Provide Product and Pricing insights/actions with regards to key commercial moments to ensure there is enough inventory to maximize sales forecast within the markdown parameters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the execution of the defined key merchandising principles related to pricing and promotions in day-to-day business and regularly give feedback to management.
- Input to Director of Merchandising eCom on overall pricing and markdown strategy for upcoming seasons and key commercial moments.
- Ensure price alignment between wholesale, ecom and retail and to price articles within the local price structures in accordance with pricing policy.
- Maintain historical promotion performance documentation to ensure proper future planning. Maintain article lists comp performance across seasons.
- Load Markdown prices in the central and local systems and maintain systems accordingly.
- Manage and maintain price change history as well as documentation around exclusion lists required for pricing compliance.
- Assist end-to-end preparation and timelines adherence to key commercial inventory forecasting processes including sale dates definition, articles selection, discounts strategy, leftover transfer strategy.
- Assist in all promotions on site that have product implications.
- Issue key Merchandise Management Reports related to price, margin and markdown management. Issue reporting pack for effective analysis of promotional activities incl. sales period.
- Plan and execute price actions (mark-ups- downs, promotions, sale activities) and drive analyses that provide the financial impact of these actions.
- Maintain knowledge base (country specific legal restrictions, special sales periods, special sales actions like friends and families etc.) to improve future pricing actions.
- Work pro-actively, propose changes in processes in order to avoid irregularities.
- Ensure all Point of Sale (POS) have a retail price per stock keeping unit (SKU)
- Other duties as requested by your manager.

Requisite Education and Experience/Minimum Qualifications:
- University degree, ideally in business with sales and finance focus or equivalent professional experience
- 5+ years’ experience in Retail merchandising (incl. buying, planning, distribution, budgeting)
- Multi-store experience essential
- 0-3 years’ management experience
- Functional awareness of Store Operations and Finance
