Additionally, you will play a key role in maintaining high standards of clinical care and will have the opportunity to actively contribute to wider service development.
If you are a caring and committed Speech and Language Therapist looking for a leadership position, we would love to hear from you!

  • Develop comprehensive Speech and Language Therapy discharge plans, referring to and liaising with relevant community services
  • Always manage clinical risk within own caseload and support the clinical lead in managing clinical risk across the Speech and Language Therapy team
  • Be competent working with patients with non-ventilated tracheostomies, (or a wiliness to complete training)
  • Ensure that qualified Speech and Language Therapy staff receive regular clinical supervision, annual appraisals and comprehensive personal development plans
  • Provide clinical advice and support to the Speech and Language Therapy Team along with support staff and students
  • Attend relevant local meetings that have a direct impact on the Speech and Language Therapy team e.g. Clinical Governance and Team Meetings
