Senior SQL Database Administrator

As the Senior SQL Database Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring Great Southern Bank’s critical systems are high-performing and highly available. With an eye for continual systems and process improvements you will work closely with business and technical staff to plan and deliver system solutions including development, change management and releases.
This is a full-time role located at our Brisbane Head Office. You will have the flexibility to work from home two days per week.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL HAVE:

• 7-10+ years in IT with a strong generalist background in relevant technology disciplines, systems administration, technical project delivery and support roles
• 5+ years in a similar role with a background in SQL database administration, preferably in financial services, specifically banking
• Demonstrated experience working in a customer-centric team in a 24/7 time-critical environment
• Advanced knowledge of technologies such as MS SQL Server and MS Windows Server
• Strong understanding of SQL high availability solutions (AlwaysOn)
• System change and release management experience in a change controlled environment
• Experience with automation tools and scripting languages such as PowerShell
