We are Spliced Inc. and we’re looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Professional experience with any of the following specific technologies:


    • Cloud infrastructure providers (AWS, GCP, Azure)

    • C++, Rust
    • Docker, Kuberetes, Agones
    • CockroachDB, Google Spanner, Postgres, Redis, Memcached, other database systems
    • Professional online game development/operational experience
    • Experience with relevant compliance obligations for Spliced


      • GDPR, CCPA, COPPA, Schrems (II), etc

      Responsibilities:

      THE ROLE

      Fantastic opportunity to play a critical role by owning the team’s strategy for deploying and operating massively scalable distributed services and storage systems to support online functionality and persistence for millions of players.
      As a key member of the SRE team, you will be designing and implementing necessary systems to provide world-class reliability and efficiency in production. You will enable Spliced to provide a seamless and satisfying online experience to a massive global audience.
      We don’t have years of technical debt, legacy systems to maintain, or restrictive backwards compatibility constraints. There is a clean slate opportunity to design and build effective deployment, monitoring, and operational infrastructure without compromise. The ambitious scope and creative vision for the game provides plenty of room for professional growth through tackling challenging problems, and you will have a chance to apply your unique skills and experience while also having the opportunity to explore and apply cutting edge new technologies.

      KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

      • Implement cutting edge operational infrastructure ahead of launch through a mix of leadership and individual contribution
      • Work with Engineering leadership to develop a comprehensive deployment and operational strategy for running an online game in production with industry leading cost efficiency and reliability
      • Foster a healthy operational mindset across the company
      • Foster a healthy culture of collaboration between development & operations
