With a hybrid work setup allowing just 2 days in-office, this could be the perfect opportunity for you if you’re passionate about numbers and strategic thinking.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in public accounting as a Staff Accountant, with expertise in bookkeeping, financial statement preparation, and corporate tax returns.
- Proficient in auditing, financial reporting standards, and implementing accounting software like QuickBooks.
- Strong computer literacy skills.
- Holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration (or equivalent).
- CPA designation
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience working in public accounting firms

Responsibilities:
- Supporting and completing tax returns for individuals, trusts, and businesses.
- Compiling and submitting information filings, as well as preparing financial statements for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Creating audit, review, and notice to reader working paper files.
- Analyzing financial data in depth to recognize trends, discrepancies, and areas for enhancement.
- Traveling within Ontario when necessary.
- Participating in frequent coaching sessions with managers and partners.Establishing strong client relationships while ensuring clear communication is maintained.
