About the Role:
To succeed in this role, you should enjoy being in a startup environment and working hands-on with engineers and product teams across the company. Our stack is built on React-native based applications with microservices backend cloud systems. You will contribute to multiple elements of these applications, creating customer-value and collaborating with other teams and engineers around you
We are actively looking for experienced engineers with this profile to fill open roles in multiple teams, handling different parts of our main business application. We will be more than excited to tell you everything about those roles, and find the best fit for your growth and skills. Our teams have different areas of focus, but our main goals, work-culture and approach to software engineering remains the same and span across our multinational engineering team.
You will:
- Lead the design and architecture of large-scale, distributed systems with an emphasis on security, reliability, and performance.
- Partner with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define and implement technical solutions that address complex business challenges.
- Take ownership of end-to-end delivery of critical features and projects, ensuring alignment with the company’s long-term technical strategy.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers across multiple teams, fostering a culture of learning, collaboration, and innovation.
- Conduct in-depth code reviews and provide constructive feedback to promote best practices and high-quality code.
- Drive technical initiatives to improve scalability, performance, and efficiency, leveraging modern technologies and architectures (e.g., microservices, event-driven architectures).
- Champion operational excellence by ensuring monitoring, alerting, and continuous delivery practices are in place.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence and implement technical roadmaps and product vision.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advocate for new technologies or approaches that can enhance our systems.
You have:
- A BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
- 8+ years of experience as a software developer
- Understanding of software development practices, system design, software
- Design patterns, and algorithms
- Familiarity with 2 programming languages and readiness to learn
- Familiarity with data storage technologies
- You have an ability to collaborate and work with application developers and product managers
- You focus on building a great product based on quality metrics rather than delivering features
Compensation Details: The base salary range for this position is typically 336 000 PLN - 480 000 PLN gross yearly. Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan. Your recruiter can share more information.
