Acute trauma
Respiratory
Allergy/immunology
Diabetes

Join our dynamic and friendly nursing teams on our 25 bedded fast paced unit Great Western ward. You will build up your confidence and experience as you take charge of the ward and care for patients that range from neonates to adulthood. Your nursing skills will be further enhanced caring for patients transferred from paediatric intensive care and neonatal intensive care units at St Mary’s and Queen Charlotte’s & Chelsea hospitals. We also receive admissions direct from our paediatric emergency department for acute trauma care. Our service further includes providing ambulatory PSSU day care from St Mary’s Hospital.
Our teams have excellent inter-professional working relationships with services for children including critical care, emergency department, community nursing teams and the ambulatory care unit.

Providing high quality, effective and individualised nursing care to a variety of patients in a compassionate and caring way.
Assessing care needs and developing, implementing and evaluating care plans without supervision.
Helping to lead and monitor the performance of the nursing team.
Deputising for the Senior Nurse as required.
