Description:

Responsibilities:
In this highly relationship-based role, you’ll be the go-to expert on engagement and communication strategies within the Environmental Services department. Your efforts will ensure that Auckland Council continues to deliver on its mission to serve Aucklanders, partnering with mana whenua and community stakeholders to achieve outcomes that benefit Tāmaki Makaurau.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary advisor for engagement and communication needs across the department, ensuring a best-practice approach.
- Strategic Communications: Develop, implement, and monitor a departmental communications plan, regularly reporting progress to senior leaders.
- Project Leadership: Oversee stakeholder engagement and communication workstreams for complex, high-profile projects.
- Upskill Teams: Mentor colleagues in creating quality content and delivering effective external communications.
