ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a Senior Strategic Policy Analyst, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing forward-thinking environmental policies that align with Saskatchewan’s economic, social, and ecological goals. Working in the Ministry of Environment, you will collaborate with a talented, cross-functional team to help address complex policy challenges. This position is not only about analysis — it’s about leadership, innovation and crafting policy solutions that drive sustainable change.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Policy: Lead the development of strategic policies that support the work of sustainability, conservation, transparent regulation and climate resilience in Saskatchewan.
Intergovernmental Coordination and Issues Identification: Provide leadership, advice, coordination and strategic analysis on the ministry’s FPT work, making recommendations and briefing senior leadership.
Research and Analysis: Conduct in-depth research and analytical expertise to evaluate current policies, forecast trends, risk analysis and identify areas for improvement.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with government partners, industry stakeholders and Indigenous communities to contribute to the ministry’s engagement work.
Advisory and Support: Provide high-level advice and expertise to senior management, contributing to sound policy decision-making and ensuring alignment with provincial priorities.
Project Management: Oversee policy projects from conception to implementation, ensuring alignment with ministry priorities and goals are being met.
