Description:
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics or similar discipline preferred
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Strategic Sourcing or purchasing role ideally within a medical device industry.
- Experience in sourcing of plastics, metals for Class 3 medical devices/ equipment (preferred)
- Experience of working across global supplier base
- Strong contract negotiation skills with cost saving achievements
- Experience in team acquisitions by consolidations
- Experience in Regulatory and Registrations (Global)
- Ability to deliver assigned projects and gate reviews
- Knowledge and experience with driving initiatives that improve EBITA performance
- Demonstrate the ability to lead with initiative and and drive strategies.
- Systems experience of - Power BI, Oracle, Agile and Excel.
Responsibilities:
- Use analytics to track price variance and develop strategy for cost improvement
- Manage diverse global supplier portfolio, contract manufacturers and distributors
- Control Price increases and achieve cost reductions through contract negotiations while maintaining supplier relationships, supply and quality.
- Support Product Management and Engineering teams with New Product Introductions
- Benchmark best practices and industry trends with internal and external business partners to develop a roadmap and build a VIP pipeline of saving and value creation opportunities
- Engage with the required internal stakeholders to drive main initiatives and projects forward to meet cost saving initiatives
- Contract Management – partner with Legal team to manage contracts, terms of business and drive favourable contract terms
- Supplier Performance management – monitor performance and delivery of contracted services with supplier portfolio
- Reporting – Spend analysis, presentations to leadership team on key strategies
- Support Sourcing deliverables to support acquisitions and/or consolidations as require
