SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a professional Hair Stylist specialising in cutting and colouring.
• Advanced knowledge of modern cutting and colouring techniques, trends, and products.
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Hairdressing (or equivalent qualification).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
• A creative flair and a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of service.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced and talented Hair Stylist with at least 5 years of professional experience in cutting and colouring. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hair artistry, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to deliver tailored, high-quality results. You’ll be joining a busy salon with a waiting client base of loyal customers who value high-end services. We prefer a self-employed stylist but are open to offering an employed position to the right candidate.
Additionally, all the operational aspects—such as booking systems, cleaning, laundry, social media and reception—are fully managed, allowing you to focus on your craft and your clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Cutting and Styling: Provide exceptional haircuts and styles tailored to individual client needs and preferences.
• Colouring Services: Provide advanced colouring techniques, including balayage, highlights, lowlights, and corrective colour treatments.
• Consultations: Conduct thorough client consultations to understand their vision and offer professional advice on styles, cuts, and colours.
• Customer Experience: Build strong relationships with clients by delivering outstanding service and ensuring satisfaction with every visit.
• Product Knowledge: Recommend salon products and educate clients on aftercare to maintain their style and colour.
• Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other stylists and salon staff to ensure seamless operations and a welcoming atmosphere.
• Health and Safety: Follow all salon protocols for hygiene, health, and safety, ensuring a clean and safe environment for clients and staff.
