Description:

We are looking for several Senior Supervisors to join the life insurance supervision divisions of the directorate. Previous supervisory or financial industry experience is not a pre-requisite, as the precise responsibilities will be tailored to the competencies, skills, and aspirations of the successful candidates. We are looking for candidates with strong problem-solving, analytical, and interpersonal skills, coming from a diverse range of backgrounds including: financial services industry, consulting and business advisory, as well as from non-financial backgrounds.
For candidates with previous supervisory or financial risk management background, this could be a way to broaden their experience, deepen technical ability and develop soft skills.
For those new to supervision and financial services, this role will afford them an opportunity to acquire a broad range of transferrable technical competencies and skills. In addition to on-the-job training, our comprehensive internal and external training program is there to support professional growth and development.

As a supervisor, you will get opportunity to:

Minimum Criteria

  • Strong analytical skills – ability to analyse large amounts of complex information, identify and present key issues, and propose solutions.
  • Ability to produce clear, concise, and structured written communication tailored for different audiences.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively build and maintain relationships with co-workers, external partners, and confidently express ideas when necessary.

Essential Criteria

  • Demonstrable motivation to learn about the financial services and acquire the technical competencies required for the role.
  • Flexibility and resilience to work in an environment where priorities may change at short notice, along with the ability to plan and deliver effective outcome-focused actions.

  • Excellent organizational skills to proactively prioritize and handle workload.

Desirable Criteria

  • Understanding of the financial services industry and markets and key regulatory challenges/priorities.
  • Confirmed applied competencies in some of the key subject areas including: strategic business and financial analysis, financial risk and capital management, corporate finance and financial structuring, and prudential regulation.

This role offers a salary of circa £52,730.00 - £60,840.00 In addition, we also offer a comprehensive benefits package as detailed below:

  • A non-contributory, career average pension giving you a guaranteed retirement benefit of 1/95th of your annual salary for every year worked. There is the option to increase your pension (to 1/50th) or decrease (to 1/120th) in exchange for salary through our flexible benefits programme each year.

  • A 8% benefits allowance with the option to take as salary or purchase a wide range of flexible benefits.
