JOB TITLE: Senior Supplier Manager - Group Sourcing & Supplier Management
SALARY: The salary banding for this role is £73,262 - £86,190
LOCATION: Bristol, Edinburgh, Halifax, Birmingham
HOURS: 35 hours, full time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.
About this opportunity
This is a fantastic opportunity to join our dynamic impactful IT Supplier Management team. We lead the management of over 300 of Lloyds Banking Group’s technology suppliers and support the Technology transformation programme at the heart of the Group by building strong and long-lasting relationships with our suppliers. What will I be doing?

  • You’ll play a key role in developing and managing our relationships with some of the most important suppliers to LBG
  • Ideally, you’ll use your deep understanding of business strategic requirements and your experience of implementing supplier strategies to drive innovation, cost efficiency and long-term value creation
  • You’ll utilise data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement, spot opportunities to maximise value and manage risk in the supply chain
  • You’ll support the delivery of large scale, supplier transformation programmes due to the award of major new contracts or work packages
  • Underpinning the above, you’ll understand the importance of managing risk whilst you drive the growth in the supplier relationships.

What you’ll need

  • Critical thinking, ability to understand the supply market and technology landscape, applying a detailed knowledge of the supplier and business needs to deliver results that improve LBG’s competitive position
  • Proven commercial and contractual management experience and of developing and delivering successful supplier strategies, planning long-range goals, objectives and overall direction which supports LBG strategy
  • Strong specialist experience of the IT Infrastructure market and supplier management to highlight potential opportunities, interpreting market to inform strategic decision making and supplier management approaches
  • Ability to identify shortcomings, providing suggestions, and implementing improvements to existing business practices
  • Experienced in developing positive relationships both with internal customers, colleagues and externally with suppliers. Sophisticated customer relationship and influencing skills to Executive level
  • Strong Leadership skills, you’ll be a senior member of the wider Supplier Management team and will demonstrate our values, behaviours, and growth mindset
  • Passionate about pursuing and investing in opportunities for your own and other’s personal development
