The position is responsible for the planning, alignment and execution of Supply Chain activities related to approved and funded projects. Projects can include new product introductions, product line extensions, network optimization, acquisitions, divestiture, product design changes and lifecycle management.
This person will interact within cross-functional teams, consisting of project leaders, global and regional supply & demand planners, supply network planners, Engineering, Regulatory Affairs & Quality members and business partners to contribute to and achieve final project objectives and key important Supply Chain metrics.

What you will be doing:

  • Use Global Supply Chain Projects processes to support implementing product changes or adjustments to supply chain flows. This role will plan for flawless transitions and execution from current to future state.
  • Significantly align with Supply Network Planning / Production Planning / Purchasing / External Ops planning to ensure capacity & capability are appropriately used.
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with business partners (Regulatory Affairs, Quality Assurance, Global / Regional PLAN, Master Data Management, DELIVER) to ensure alignment and agreement on upcoming changes and overall project plan adherence.
  • Support Scenario Planning analysis where required.
  • Support launch, phase-in / phase-out plans and prepare for operational Supply Chain set-up and PLAN readiness across PLM, ERP, APS and OTC systems.
  • Ensure activities performed are aligned with the Ethicon Quality System.
  • Communicating business-related issues or opportunities to next management level, identify and pro-actively mitigate risks throughout the entire supply chain.
  • Identify and drive continuous improvements, seek intelligent automation where adding new value.
  • Support demand, supply and inventory strategies to create a robust, efficient and compliant supply chain.
  • Build insightful understanding on the regulated medical devices (country) landscape and how this connects and translates into supply chain strategies and scenarios while dealing with product introductions and product lifecycle management changes.
  • Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Perform other duties assigned as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

We would love to hear from you, if you have the following essential requirements:

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Logistics or Engineering; Supply Chain focused courses/certifications certainly a plus.
  • Up to 4 years of proven working experience in Supply Chain / Planning roles; preferably in a multinational company.
  • Project Management experience and/or LEAN material flow and/or planning & scheduling knowledge and/or Process Excellence certification or proven understanding, a plus.
  • Knowledge and proficiency of ERP and Advanced Planning Systems preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with capability to query systems to extract sets of data for analysis (advanced Excel knowledge, basic Access, SQL).
  • Accuracy with high attention to details, without losing the “big picture”.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and cope with complexity and operate within a project structure.
  • Collaborate across multiple functional organizations and levels in a multicultural and global environment.
  • Demonstrated partnering and influencing skills.
  • Proficiency in English is required, other languages are a plus.
  • Ability to minimize and handle risks appropriately.
