Job Opportunity: Senior Supply Chain Specialist (Level 27) – Dublin
We are seeking a Senior Supply Chain Specialist to join our Supply Chain team at our Dublin Distribution Centre. This role is pivotal in ensuring that Gilead’s products reach our global customers and distributors from our Dublin facility. Reporting to the Senior Supply Chain Manager, you will contribute to the smooth flow of products worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with customer service teams locally and internationally to prioritize orders, ensuring exceptional service.
- Generate monthly KPI reports for management, including causal analysis of discrepancies and corrective actions aligned with strategic targets.
- Ensure compliance with Good Distribution Practice (GDP) standards and Gilead’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) regarding product transportation, aligning with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement in line with Gilead’s quality policies, Quality Management System, and applicable regulations (GMP/GDP).
- Act as the primary contact for the Middle East portfolio, overseeing markets such as Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Jordan, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, UAE, and Israel.
- Support the tender order management process, ensuring timely product delivery to avoid penalties.
- Contribute to global supply chain initiatives to meet departmental objectives.
- Manage RFQs and ensure submissions are completed by the deadline.
- Oversee and maintain order processing, including invoicing, credits, pricing, and sales orders.
- Address customer or sales team queries promptly.
- Solve complex problems by analyzing diverse situations and making independent decisions to achieve results.
- Provide process documentation and data flow support for global business needs.
- Offer guidance, supervision, and training to junior colleagues.
- Plan and prioritize daily tasks and conduct performance reviews.
- Foster collaboration across geographical and organizational boundaries to optimize outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with GMP standards, safety practices, and SOPs, and introduce new technologies or processes as required.
- Assist in developing ERP systems in support of Gilead’s long-term business goals.
- Review and approve critical documents affecting budgets or timelines, such as sales orders, freight invoices, and purchase orders.
- Support commercial and clinical teams by providing timely responses to inquiries.
- Maintain accurate customer forecasts to support planning activities and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage end-to-end logistics for large shipments and ensure Gilead’s certifications are met for all shipments.
- Collaborate with various teams to streamline processes and enhance supply chain efficiency.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by your manager.
Professional Skills & Knowledge:
- Degree in business or a related technical field, ideally in Supply Chain Management.
- Experience in a global supply chain role within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Proven experience in people management, team building, and motivating staff.
- Knowledge of Lean principles and methodologies is advantageous.
- Strong cross-functional partnership-building skills.
- Deep understanding of logistics, distribution, and relevant legislation.
- Expertise in Pharma Logistics 3PL/4PL models.
- Excellent analytical skills for business strategy development.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and influencing skills, with the ability to work at all organizational levels.
- Ability to work independently, review processes, and drive innovation.
- In-depth knowledge of SAP S/4HANA.
- Exceptional verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills.

- Extensive knowledge of GMP, GDP, and regulatory requirements in the pharmaceutical industry.
