We have an excellent career opportunity for the role of Support Worker to join our amazing team here at Milewood Care based at our Scarborough location.
Location: As part of Rowan House’s ideals, we try to source local charities, businesses and tourist attractions, to find new and exciting ways to improve the lives of the individuals living here. With a dedicated on site activities co-ordinator and a dedicated staff team we always have our finger on the pulse with local events, large or small, near or far.

These typically include popular pub visits, attending local clubs and societies and ‘retail therapy. There are also several leisure pursuits or local tourist spots available for service users on a regular basis, such as:

• Walking
• Gardening
• Discos
• Cinema
• Swimming classes
• DAG groups.

Rowan House encourages all its service users to live their best lives, constantly looking for new ways to engage them in local projects, decoration of the home and various local placements.
Pay: We pay excellent hourly rates of £12.50 per hour.

ADDITIONAL PAY BENEFITS:

• We have opportunities to pick up voluntary overtime shifts.
• We pay enhanced Bank Holiday pay at Xmas and New Year.
• We are soon to rollout an early pay system to allow staff to access elements of pay earlier.
  Working shift patterns: We have excellent working hours which are between 8-8 – we welcome applications from Full and Part time candidates

• To support in meeting the personal care needs of service users in a way that respects the dignity of the individual and promotes independence
• To help in the care of the service users’ physical environment and in the general day-to-day activities of the home
• To take accountability and responsibility for acting upon concerns, with the named individual(s,) to the appropriate level.
• To be knowledgeable regarding all service users needs and wants, adhering to the care plan in place
