Senior Surgical Tech at Providence St. Jude Medical Center in Fullerton, CA. This is a full-time position that will work 12-hour Day shifts
The Senior Surgical Tech is a role model, mentor and resource to the team. The Senior Surgical Tech is identified as a subject matter expert in their role. As a member of the surgical team, under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse Circulator, maintains the operating room sterile field; passes instruments, sutures, and sponges during surgery. Insures that proper sterile technique is utilized to prevent contamination and infection. Assists the registered nurse with circulating duties.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Coursework/Training: Successful completion of a surgical/OR Tech training program.
• Coursework/Training: Successful completion and maintenance of preceptor requirements.
• upon hire: National Certified Surgical Technologist - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting.
• upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
• 3 years of Surgical/OR Tech experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5 years of Surgical/OR Tech experience.
• Prior experience in preceptor role.
