Aligned with these ambitions, we are establishing a Sustainability Reporting team within our Finance function. The team will lead on the delivery of critical sustainability reporting for the group, supporting strategic delivery and the needs of our stakeholders.
About the Finance Function
The Finance function at abrdn, led by the Chief Financial Officer, is structured around specialist centralised teams and business-focused commercial teams. The newly created Sustainability Reporting team will sit within our External Reporting team, responsible for financial and non-financial reporting, under the leadership of the Group Financial Controller.
Initially, the team will focus on reporting linked to our Annual Report and Accounts, as well as our Sustainability and TCFD (Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures) report. Over time, the remit will expand to incorporate a wide range of reporting deliverables as the sustainability landscape evolves, including CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive), ISSB (International Sustainability Standards Board) S1/S2, and the UK Green Taxonomy.
About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Sustainability Reporting Production Manager to join our team. You will lead day-to-day reporting production efforts and play a key role in coordinating resources across the business to ensure the safe and secure delivery of our external sustainability reporting disclosures.
Key Responsibilities
- Production Planning & Delivery Management: Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of sustainability reporting, ensuring all deliverables are met with high quality and on time.
- Resource Coordination: Manage resources across the business to support sustainability reporting efforts.
- Stakeholder Management: Navigate a complex stakeholder landscape, ensuring clear communication and collaboration.
- Data Repository Management: Build and maintain a central sustainability reporting data repository.
- Production Control: End-to-end management of the production control environment, including the design and management of production processes and tools.
- ESG Ratings Management: Oversee and manage ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) ratings related to production.
- Assurance & Governance: Handle production-related assurance matters and manage governance reporting.
Skills & Capabilities
To be successful in this role, you will possess the following skills and capabilities:
- Qualified Accountant
- Experience in handling regulatory and/or reporting change.
- Awareness and understanding of sustainability reporting requirements and developments.
- Capable of leading across business-as-usual and project initiatives
- Assurance handling experience
- Experience in the Asset Management sector preferable
