Description:

SUMMARY

The Senior System Administrator – Security & Infrastructure, is responsible for managing and securing our IT infrastructure. This role focuses on maintaining high availability, security, and performance across cloud and on-premises environments, ensuring compliance with cybersecurity best practices.

WHAT YOU NEED (REQUIREMENTS)

  • 5+ years of experience in system administration and IT security.
  • Strong experience with:
    o Azure, Windows Server, and Active Directory.
    o Endpoint management with Intune, RMM and SentinelOne.
    o Network administration of Cisco Meraki solutions.

o Duo MFA and email security solutions.

  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Proven experience mentoring or supervising junior team members.
  • Certifications such as MCSE, Azure AZ-104, CompTIA Security+, ITIL
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work across teams and stakeholders effectively.
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain IT infrastructure, including Windows Server, Azure, and Intune.
  • Lead and participate in IT system migrations, including email, SharePoint, and Active Directory consolidation efforts.
  • Configure and monitor Meraki networking solutions.
  • Administer Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange, SharePoint, and Teams, ensuring availability and security.
  • Oversee SentinelOne Endpoint Protection, deployment and security policy enforcement across all endpoints.
  • Implement and maintain Zero-Trust security principles and compliance policies.
  • Manage identity and access security through Duo MFA and Azure AD.
  • Ensure compliance with IT security policies across all endpoints and cloud environments.
  • Manage system backups (Veeam) and Cloud Backups (AvePoint), ensuring disaster recovery readiness and periodic testing.
  • Provide high-level support for escalated technical issues and collaborate with IT teams to improve service delivery.
  • Mentor and assist junior IT support technicians, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
  • Work with security tools such as Mimecast and KnowBe4 to improve email security and minimize phishing risks.
  • Develop and maintain IT documentation, including SOPs, infrastructure diagrams, and end-user guides.
  • Lead efforts in improving IT asset management, ensuring accurate tracking of hardware and software inventory.
