We are currently looking for a Senior Systems Administrator

JOB SUMMARY

On a day-to-day basis you will, be responsible for helpdesk function, the management of the company’s LANs/WANs, maintain user accounts, passwords, security administration and data integrity.
Under the direction of an IT Manager at the Corporate Office, you will assist with Technical documentation of IT standards in conjunction with company policies & plan, schedule and coordinate IT projects (network expansions, hardware upgrades, etc.), software and hardware installation (Servers and workstations), System migration to Cloud computing.
At all times you will be contributing to the improvement of Canlan’s cloud/network infrastructure and services.

ABILITIES, ATTRIBUTES AND EXPERIENCE

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with Computer hardware related to networks, servers and workstations.
  • Experience administering Office 365 ecosystems, Windows 10, Win2022 Server and Azure and AWS Cloud server.
  • Experience with System migration to Azure Cloud computing
  • Experience with SQL/MYSQL Server database maintenance.
  • Experience with VMware vSphere ESXi host servers
  • Experience with Firewall and cloud switching, IPSec VPN and QoS configuration(Fortinet, Meraki, Aruba)
  • Experience with Zendesk ticketing system
  • Experience with SAN storage using iSCSI protocol (Dell EMC Storage)
  • Proficiency in strategic planning is essential, demonstrated through comprehensive documentation including network diagrams, system diagrams, implementation plans, change management plans, and as-built documentation.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, and Mac OS.
  • Understanding of network security products and tools.
  • Understanding of POS integrated software package, which includes accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory control, and POS.
  • Solid Knowledge of Azure AD, Office 365 Defender, Intune, and Windows Autopilot
  • Experience with mobile device management desired.
  • Computer Imaging, Deployment, Patch Management Experience.
  • Familiar with Cisco Meraki, Aruba, and Zendesk
  • MCSE / CCNA will be an asset.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day network administration, troubleshooting and helpdesk support on various office applications and tools.
  • Support and manage the Microsoft Azure Cloud infrastructure.
  • Support and manage Microsoft 365, Windows workstations\Server environment using Intune and Windows Autopilot.
  • Support and manage VMware vSphere ESXi host servers in a SAN environment
  • Support and manage Email Accounts and Web Hosting Services.
  • Assist in the administration of the Corporate Intranet, CRMs and Websites.
  • Provide guidance to the technology support team and leading implementation/rollout projects.
  • Must be self-motivated and be able to work alone with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Detail oriented person with excellent interpersonal communication skills. Self-motivated with can-do attitude.
  • Produce documents related to networks, policies and user FAQ’s.
  • Must have valid drivers license and own vehicle for field calls.
  • On-Call Support is required
