Description:
SENIOR SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR II
Location: Arlington, VA
Employment Type: Full-Time
Clearance: Must have an active Secret clearance and be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen.
Security Clearance: Must have an active secret clearance with TS/SCI clearance eligibility.
EXPERIENCE:
6+ years of experience in Linux/Unix system administration, particularly with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 8/9).
Proficient in Linux OS installation, security hardening, performance tuning, and maintenance.
Experienced in administering and managing Linux servers, including configuration, optimization, backup, and recovery.
Skilled in troubleshooting and resolving performance issues across CPU, memory, networking, and disk I/O.
Hands-on experience with Red Hat Satellite Server, Ansible, and Identity Management (IDM).
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field. (Two years of related work experience may be substituted for each year of degree-level education.)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Ansible or similar tools.
Knowledge of Agile development environments and Java-based software development.
Familiarity with SELinux and cross-domain solutions.
Experience with data orchestration software like Apache NiFi or StreamSets.
Extensive experience with AWS, including VPC, EC2, S3, and IAM management.
Proficiency in DevOps/DevSecOps environments with tools such as Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, ELK Stack (ElasticSearch, Logstash, Kibana), Nessus, Zscaler, and ClamAV.
