Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Senior System Administrator to join our collaborative IT Infrastructure team for a 12-month fixed term position. This role demands a high work ethic and expertise in developing a Standard Operating Environment (SOE) for Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Windows Server operating System along with solid skills in VMware, Linux/Windows, and Automation. Proven experience in the build and security hardening of server operating systems to industry standard hardening guidelines and expertise in developing a Standard Operating Environment is required.

Key Responsibility

  • Provide expert services by developing a Standard Operating Environment (SOE) that aligns with the industry and RBA hardening standards, supporting the Bank’s infrastructure and security posture.
  • Proven experience in the build and security hardening of server operating systems, particularly RHEL (RHEL8 and RHEL9) using configuration management such as Puppet /Windows Server Operating (2016,2019 and 2022) using group policy or configuration management such as Puppet.
  • Continuously enhance systems to improve user experience, operational efficiency, and cost-effectiveness, with a focus on maximizing automation and orchestration.

Required Skills:

  • Proven experience in the build and security hardening of server operating systems, particularly RHEL (RHEL8 and RHEL9) /Windows Server Operating (2016,2019 and 2022)
  • Deliver the required documentation for standard operations of the Bank’s end-to-end IT infrastructure services and processes.
  • Continuously improve systems to enhance the user experience, operate efficiently and cost effectively, including maximising automation and orchestration of implementation and ongoing operations

Your background

  • Proven experience in the build and security hardening of server operating systems(Windows and Linux
  • Understanding of Windows Operating Systems ( 2016,2019 and 2022) and RHEL (RHEL8 and RHEL9).
  • Experience of Windows/Linux Server OS systems administration/ automation preferred.
  • Interest in Cyber Security especially on vulnerability management.
  • Experience of automation of system administrative tasks.
  • Be proactive in taking initiatives to automate manual tasks.
  • Willingness to maintain, or undertaken provided training to acquire, IT and industry related certifications as products are updated/released.
