PROFILE SUMMARY

Wesgroup is poised for substantial growth over the next several years and in preparation for this exciting and challenging phase, we are actively seeking a highly engaged, driven and experienced Senior Systems Analyst to join our team.
The Senior Systems Analyst is responsible for supporting and assisting in the analysis, design, support, and maintenance of on-premises and cloud infrastructure including networking, virtualization, physical hardware, and applications. As a Senior Systems Analyst you will collaborate with various stakeholders and peers to gather requirements, develop infrastructure solutions, and ensure the efficient operation of hardware, software, and network components.
This role will report to the Manager, Infrastructure.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Infrastructure Support:
  • Monitor, document, triage, troubleshoot, and respond to incoming requests related to technical infrastructure. This includes networking, hardware, Office 365, Azure, and AWS, through various channels such as in-person, telephone, or remote access.
  • Address tier 2 and tier 3 technical support requests, collaborating closely with Support and Service Delivery teams, and liaising with vendors where necessary.
  • Performance Optimization:
  • Monitor and analyze infrastructure performance, proactively identifying potential bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, or system failures. Propose and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and security.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:
  • Develop comprehensive documentation of infrastructure systems, encompassing configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines. Ensure knowledge transfer and accessibility to relevant teams.
  • Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity:
  • Assist in the development, coordination, and execution of disaster recovery and business continuity plans. This ensures the integrity of data and the availability of critical systems during unforeseen events.
  • JML (Joiners, Movers, & Leavers) Support:
  • Provide senior-level support for all JML processes, including the support, provisioning, installation, and configuration of all devices. Proactively propose and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
  • Project Support:
  • Offer all levels of support for internal projects and initiatives where applicable. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive successful project outcomes.
  • Training and Mentorship:
  • Provide ongoing training and support to users and team members of all skill levels, ensuring a knowledgeable and empowered workforce.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  • 5 years of hands-on experience in technical support and infrastructure management.
  • Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in a computer-related field or equivalent technical support experience.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting PC hardware issues, with a track record of repairing desktops and laptops.
  • Experience in software installation, patch management, and system updates on desktops and laptops.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot network, software, and printing problems.
  • Strong knowledge of:
  • Windows 10, Windows 11, and MAC OSX environments
  • Microsoft AD, Microsoft Entra AD, Microsoft M365, Microsoft Intune
  • Microsoft Server 2012-2022

  • Switching, Routing, and Firewalls
