The ideal candidate will be responsible for Senior Systems Engineer – Autonomy and Perception to support the development of high-quality solutions for robotics arms and perception systems. In this role you will support all phases of the perception and autonomous systems product development process including requirements definition, system and spacecraft interfaces, system and spacecraft design, integration, test, verification and validation, and mission operations. Prior experience developing space systems for challenging environments and missions is expected.

IDEAL EXPERIENCE:

  • Masters or Doctoral degree in, Aerospace, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field is required
  • A minimum of 3 years related experience with camera systems, perception systems, artificial intelligence
  • Experience participating in technical execution for systems development.
  • Experience in driving internal research and development programs for frontier technologies.
  • Prior experience developing autonomous systems space

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Deep technical expertise in AI, Machine Learning and Perception.
  • Minimum of 4 years demonstrated experience working in a complex engineering environment.
  • Experience with ESA/NASA/DoD lifecycle reviews (e.g. SRR, PDR, CDR)
  • Experience with requirement tracking tools such as DOORs or Jama
  • Experience in software development processes
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to interface with the team and organization and prioritize tasks, projects, and personnel from a variety of disciplines.
  • Possesses a broad background in systems engineering.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting end-to-end development of perception systems
  • Supporting systems engineering for autonomous systems.
  • Supporting grant proposals and pursuing funding opportunities for Vision systems development.
  • Supervising national and international research activities in the perception domain
  • Conception, development & verification of novel perception products
  • Design & development & testing of software for perception.
  • Lead CAESAR project and support broader R&D effort for autonomous systems in Luxembourg.
  • Applying an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify a lifecycle balanced perception and autonomy solutions.
  • Evaluate customer and /operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces.
  • Create, Track, Maintain Requirements in Jama Tool
  • Performs various analyses to optimize product design.
  • Coordination of technical issues with other SMEs.
  • Ensure activities are planned and coordinated and are ready for execution in a timely manner for operations.
  • Write technical procedures, and documentation.
  • Develop and use consistent processes and test plans.
  • Technical support for proposals/bids.
