Description:

Williams & Connolly LLP has an immediate opening for a Senior Systems Engineer specializing in endpoint architecture and integration. Under the direction of the Director of Endpoint and Application Services, this position has primary responsibility for the following:

  • System owner for Microsoft SCCM infrastructure.
  • Development, maintenance, and enhancements of the firm’s desktop and laptop images.
  • Maintaining endpoints compliant with security patches in accordance with the firm’s patch management policies and procedures.
  • Performing system upgrades, and/or changes as needed in accordance with the firm’s change management policies and procedures.
  • Managing centralized distribution of software packages, service packs, hot fixes, and other system updates.
  • Managing the firm’s monthly maintenance patching procedures.
  • Packaging applications for deployment using PowerShell.
  • Actively monitoring systems to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve errors and failures related to the endpoint environment and assisting the team with server-related issues as directed.
  • Managing software inventory to ensure adequate licensing is maintained.
  • Managing the integration of various applications installed on endpoints.
  • Managing an Azure hybrid joined environment.
  • Providing third-tier support for incident escalations.

Proven experience with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager, vulnerability patching, software, reporting, and software distribution is required. Experience implementing System Center Updates Publisher, WSUS, integrating Intel Active Management Technology into SCCM, virtualizing applications via App-V, implementing Zero-Touch Installation deployment with SCCM for imaging, and/or scripting via PowerShell, VBScript, or WMIC are strongly preferred. Experience with Active Directory, Group Policies, and Windows Registry is also required. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
The candidate must be detail-oriented, customer service-focused, well-organized, self-motivated, creative, and work well as part of a team. Additionally, they must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to multi-task and communicate proactively to management.
The ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds and install various types of IT equipment is required. This position is eligible to work the department’s approved hybrid schedule.
This is an exempt position. The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $145,000 - $160,000. The final offer amount is dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, years of experience, education, and other relevant skills and qualifications.
