Summary
We are looking for a “Senior System Engineer for Self-Protection Systems (f/m/d)” for the “Airborne Self-Protection Engineering” department at the Taufkirchen site as soon as possible.
The “Airborne Self-Protection Engineering” department is responsible for the development of systems for the self-protection of aircraft. This covers the entire life cycle of the products from the offer phase to the development of demonstrators / prototypes, product and series development as well as series support and necessary adaptation developments. The product range includes a modular self-protection system consisting of various sensors and effectors, as well as a central processing unit.
Your Tasks
- Definition of overarching system requirements and derivation of system architectures
- Design of complex system and subsystem components and their interfaces
- Definition of overall verification and qualification in coordination with the sub-responsible parties
- Planning and implementation of integration, commissioning and testing
- Designing test concepts and the associated test environment
- Creation of development, product and verification documents
- Assuming responsibility for work packages in the assigned work environment with regard to quality, costs, deadlines and risk assessment
- Customer support during order processing, integration and acceptance
- Participation in field tests and measurement campaigns as well as customer demonstrations
- Creating and checking cost estimates and assisting with the preparation of quotations
Your Profile
- Master of Science in the field of engineering (electrical engineering, mechanical engineering) or comparable
- Extensive professional experience as a system engineer in the field of EW, radar or communication (preferably in the defense industry)
- Comprehensive knowledge of EW & self-protection of flying platforms
- Experience in dealing with EW support systems and mission data processing
- Practical experience in handling RF simulators and various measuring devices
- Business fluent in German and English
