CS Group Canada, a subsidiary of CS Group, a company within the Sopra Steria Group, is an accelerator of Functional Safety and Cybersecurity for companies developing critical embedded technologies (Avionics, Autonomous Driving, Transport Electrification). Our clients are OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers in the aerospace, automotive, defense, and rail sectors, seeking to obtain Functional Safety (ISO 26262, DO-178C, DO-254, ARP-4761, ARP-4754, EN50128) and cybersecurity certifications (DO-326A, ISO 21434, UN-R155) to market their technologies.

JOB DESCRIPTION

You will work for the System Safety team in collaboration with Hardware, and Software Development Teams to design, develop, and deploy systems that enable and support autonomous driving.
Responsible for ensuring that systems are developed through a process that ensures end-to-end traceability and meets both system safety objectives and product requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Safety Analysis: HARAs, FTAs, FMEAs, and/or FMEDAs
  • Develop functional safety and technical safety concepts for vehicle motion control systems
  • Collaborate with internal hardware/software engineers to ensure system requirements and desired functionality are achieved
  • Implementation of systems engineering processes, including cross-functional reviews of requirements and test cases
  • Support development of test plans, test cases, black box integration testing, and issue resolution.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • M.S. or higher degree in Automotive Engineering, Aerospace, Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering
  • 7+ years experience in system safety engineering, with a focus on automotive systems.
  • Experience in hazard analysis and risk assessments (HARA / HAZOP)
  • Experience in system safety analysis type FMEA.
  • Experience with at least one of this standards: ISO 26262 ISO 13849, IEC 61508
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability reach out the client.
