Responsibilities:

This role is pivotal in operating and extending our platform at a time when the business is scaling - helping to define, design, implement, deploy, and support the diagnostic services Perspectum offers. The Senior Systems Engineer manages, monitors, and maintains the systems underlying production services, and works closely with the teams who are developing new products and features, relentlessly enhancing, and evolving the systems by which we deliver value to our customers. In addition to supporting the delivery of our engineering projects, this role also pays a key part in ensuring that the infrastructure and systems we build our applications upon are compliant with the relevant regulations and can pass audits.

Day to day your duties will include:

  • Build, monitor, support, manage and improve the infrastructure on which Perspectum’s services run, the lifecycle systems (source, build, CI/CD) by which they are delivered, and the business continuity and disaster recovery plans by which they are supported.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance scalability, robustness, efficiency and value delivery across the Engineering department and support developers and architects in platform and technology choices.
  • Drive and support adherence to Perspectum’s Security Development Lifecycle and all applicable standards (e.g., ISO27001, CIS benchmarks, etc)
  • Ensure production and development environments and systems are kept secure, including patch management, auditing, access control, etc.
  • Manage operational and security incidents as part of a 24/7 oncall team.
