THE OPPORTUNITY
The Boeing MQ-28 Ghost Bat is a globally-significant program that will deliver a disruptive advantage to support Defence operational capabilities.
As we continue to accelerate the development program, and expand the aircraft flight envelope through the test program, we are seeking the very best talent from a diverse range of backgrounds to help grow and contribute to our innovative team.
We are seeking an experienced SeniorProduct Security Engineer (PSE)with a Systems Engineering background to support this exciting opportunity to apply secure design practices to the unique and world-leading MQ-28 Ghost Bat autonomous aircraft.
The role is based at Boeing’s head office at 123 Albert St, Brisbane CBD.
As a Senior Product Security Engineer, you will:
- Work within an existing team of Product Security Engineers and Cyber Governance Risk and Compliance Specialists to lead the development, implementation, and sustainment of product security and resiliency throughout all stages of the product lifecycle (i.e. requirements, design, build, test, production, operations and support).
- Work collaboratively with the MQ-28 Engineering Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to develop cyber security designs that implement Information Security Manual (ISM) and other industry standard cyber controls within the systems and products developed across the Program.
- Develop system requirements for product security throughout all stages of the product lifecycle that synthesize all applicable system, interface, certification and customer requirements.
- Perform threat and risk assessments as part of a cyber-maturation process that establishes threat surfaces and mitigations to maximize resiliency and minimize vulnerability.
- Ensure the security of equipment, tools, data, networks, and resources used for the various Products developed by the Program.
- Coordinate with stakeholders across the Program to identify risks, and improve industry and regulatory security standards and requirements.
- Provide inputs for planning, scheduling, and risk, issues, opportunity activities for Cyber Security across the Program.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A Tertiary degree qualification in an engineering or related technical discipline.
- A systems engineering background with extensive experience with security and industry standards (e.g. ISM, PSPF, DSPF, NIST, ACSI).
- Demonstrated experience in applying relevant engineering practices, standards and regulations throughout engineering development lifecycle.
- Well-developed communication skills to work collaboratively to a high standard within a multi-discipline team.

Desirable additional experience and qualifications:
- Experience in Accreditation and Certification of Aerospace systems within Defence.
- Industry recognised information security qualification such as CISSP, CRISC, CISM or similar
- Defence industry and/or Government security experience
- Experience in Model Based Systems Engineering including the use of Dassault Systems Magic System of Systems (Cameo) suite of products
