Human Resources
Human Resources is responsible for key deliverables within the employment lifecycle which includes attracting and retaining an effective workforce; managing people, policies, and procedures; employee learning and development; reward and recognition; employee relations and overseeing the employee engagement survey and, leadership development.
About the Role
The Senior Talent Acquisition Advisor (fixed term), reports to the Associate Director, People & Culture and is an integral part of the HR team. The role is responsible for the delivery of end-to-end recruitment to attract and place top talent to shape RMIT UP. This will involve advising, collaborating and consulting with hiring managers on the best service and recruitment methodologies including a focus on proactive talent search activities for current and future vacancies.

Your roles and responsibilities will include (but aren’t limited to):

  • Supporting hiring managers through job requisition processes, ensuring appropriate approval to recruit.
  • Coordinating end-to-end recruitment including the use of video interviewing where appropriate.
  • Providing insights on market and competitor information and communicate relevant recruitment trends and market intelligence.
  • Providing subject matter expert advice on legislative changes that relate to employment and recruitment such as fixed-term contract extension eligibility, ensuring compliance with the latest legislation and regulatory updates.
  • Conducting new staff induction and orientation
  • Managing new starter survey to collect and analyze feedback for continuous improvement and best onboarding and new starter experience.
  • Conducting compliance checks via CVCheck/Workday at the time of hire, such as National Police Check, Working with Children Check (WWCC), Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT), VEVO checks
  • Developing strong relationships with hiring managers, stakeholders and relevant HR Business Partners. Ensuring all stakeholders are kept abreast of progress to hire.
  • Partnering with stakeholders to understand business needs and workforce demand to drive future recruitment planning.
  • Producing reports that capture talent acquisition analytics including, but not limited to, information on the numbers of roles recruited, time to fill, business hours involved, and employee diversity as required.
  • Identifying and contributing to HR initiatives that enhance employee experience and engagement.

About You

To be successful in this position you will have:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification or relevant experience.
  • Extensive experience in an internal recruitment position, at all levels, ideally within a large complex organisation.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in the development and delivery of proactive talent search activities and talent pool management.
  • Extensive experience in innovative end-to-end recruitment and selection practices.
  • A strong ability to collaborate with and influence clients and stakeholders at all levels in a complex and demanding environment
  • An outcomes focus and be driven towards achieving results.
  • A proven ability to build positive and robust relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience writing engaging and creative recruitment materials.
  • Demonstrated ability to show initiative and creativity in solving problems.
  • A customer service focused outlook with a team orientation.
  • Strong organisational skills, including the ability to effectively track end-to-end recruitment. campaign progress and manage a seamless candidate experience.
