Responsibilities:

IN THIS ROLE, YOUR DAY-TO-DAY WILL INCLUDE:

Talent Acquisition:

  • Manage the full cycle recruitment of our candidate pipeline for both our Montreal, QC and Somerville, MA locations, which includes (but may not be limited to):
  • Leading the end-to-end recruitment process for both technical and non-technical positions
  • Championing an exceptional candidate experience
  • Conducting and designing tailored sourcing efforts and initiatives to attract top talent
  • Partnering with hiring teams to identify needs, provide support throughout the recruitment process, coordinate interviews, and propose opportunities for process improvement
  • Identify and take ownership of creative recruitment strategies and opportunities that fit with VIA’s culture, and hiring needs
  • Support equitable recruitment practices at VIA through the promotion of DE&I talent initiatives
  • Collaborate with the POps team to drive the ongoing management and development of new hire onboarding processes

Employer Branding:

  • Proactively partner with our marketing and product teams to develop and improve our employer brand strategy in targeted hiring markets
  • Research, lead, and coordinate relevant recruitment and team-related public relations opportunities for VIA
  • Champion opportunities for VIA to engage with local community initiatives and candidate groups

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THIS ROLE:

  • Fluency in English; French is a strong asset
  • Minimum of 3 years of recruitment experience in a fast-paced technical environment
  • Robust knowledge of recruitment best practices
  • Expertise in recruitment and onboarding processes
  • Experience leading and attending virtual and in-person recruitment events
  • Experience recruiting internally in a scale-up environment is a strong asset
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills
  • Experience working with an HRIS or ATS
  • Knowledge of the Montreal market in terms of recruitment, sources of talent, benefits, and total compensation
  • Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to multi-task with strong organizational, planning, and time management skills
  • Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter, BambooHR, and Workable a strong asset
  • A sense of humor and passion for growing high-performance teams!
