Description:

We are offering an opportunity for a Senior Tax Accountant in Sacramento, California, United States. This role is crucial in managing relationships with clients and handling various accounting tasks within our organization. Responsibilities:

  • Manage and build relationships with clients.
  • Oversee and perform accounting and bookkeeping tasks.
  • Utilize QuickBooks for various financial operations.
  • Handle inquiries related to tax, payroll, and sales for small businesses.
  • Ensure accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications.
  • Maintain and update customer credit records regularly.
  • Show initiative in anticipating and resolving potential problems.
  • Exercise good judgment and decision-making skills in handling customer accounts.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively and independently.
  • Implement month-end close procedures for customer accounts.
  • Must hold a relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Tax Accountant, Tax Analyst, or Tax Preparer
  • Experience with Month End Close process is required
  • Strong bookkeeping skills are necessary
  • Must have knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance, and all types of tax returns
  • Excellent analytical and time management skills
  • Strong numeracy and mathematical abilities
  • Proficiency in MS Office and good knowledge of relevant software and databases
  • Keen attention to detail is essential
  • Good at meeting deadlines and solving problems
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, both written and oral
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA) is a plus
