Description:
Robert Half is conducting a talent search on behalf of our esteemed client for a dynamic and highly motivated Senior Tax Analyst. This role is based in Langley, BC and offers an excellent opportunity for career growth and the possibility to get promoted to a managerial role. REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- CPA designation or near completion is required.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in Tax, ideally with hands-on experience in indirect taxes.
- Industry experience in industry is strongly preferred but not required
- Familiarity with Tax software programs.

Responsibilities:
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Performing research of day-to-day income and indirect tax compliance issues in multiple provincial jurisdictions.
- Reviewing indirect tax returns prepared by the tax accountant.
- Assisting related entities with the reviewing of their year-end corporate tax provision.
- Preparation and filing of GST/HST/PST/QST monthly, assisting with CRA audits and responding to audit queries in a timely fashion.
- Preparation of half-year tax provisions.
- Remittance of monthly tax installments and withholding taxes to government authorities.
- Reviewing regulated GST/HST, and PST taxes along with reconciliation for all Canadian entities.
- Assisting in the analysis, preparation, and review of current and deferred income tax provisions under IFRS.
- Ensuring timely and accurate filing of all corporate income tax and GST returns.
- Preparing and reviewing tax calculations, estimates, and reports accruals.
- Performing additional compliance projects as necessary, including withholding tax and foreign affiliate reporting.
- Liaising with tax authorities and providing tax audit support for the Group.
- Providing internal tax advisory services and support on business operation matters and leading and coordinating ad-hoc tax-driven business initiatives locally or regionally.
