Position Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Maintain and enhance sales and use tax compliance processes within each ERP environment
  • Apply the rules and regulations for documentation requirements from various tax authorities
  • Maintain sales and use tax accounts by verifying and posting account transactions
  • Conduct monthly reconciliations of all tax accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of data
  • Review and calculate taxes on vendor invoices where applicable
  • Research state and local tax regulations for project or finance managers
  • Undertake reviews and analyze systems and processes for improvements
  • Assist in the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing process, as assigned
  • Coordinate reporting of property tax renditions and payments for each jurisdiction
  • Maintain and review unclaimed property and business license required filings
  • Complete other responsibilities as assigned

Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or equivalent experience
  • Two years of indirect tax, accounting, or equivalent combinations of experience and training
  • Strong understanding of tax processes and reconciling tax amounts owed for multiple jurisdictions
  • Excellent attention to detail, Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Competent in MS office products, especially Excel
  • Experience with CMIC and RAMCO or other construction management & service software a plus
  • Being familiar with construction business and project accounting
  • Must be well organized, with the ability to meet timely deadlines with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional demeanor and the ability to collaborate in a team environment.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
