Your role
Since we are growing we now have an exciting opening at Saab for the role as Senior Tax Manager, who will play an important role in the finance team supporting the Saab Group with tax compliance and who wants to work in an international environment, where you add value to the business! As Senior Tax Manager, you will have a strategic key responsibility within corporate taxation, ensuring that the Saab Group is compliant with applicable tax regulations in every jurisdiction where Saab operates. You will be involved in a wide range of direct tax matters in a constantly changing and evolving business. You drive projects and provide input related to cross-border businesses, M&A projects, legal structures, financing related matters, policies and procedures.
The role entails tasks such as:
- Providing strategic advice on tax accounting, reporting and related queries across all jurisdictions of the group, with special focus on the Group’s effective tax rate and tax accounting issues connected to OECD Pillar Two compliance
- Supporting and reviewing tax calculations and corporate income tax returns (mainly for Swedish entities).
- Supporting the business with calculating tax risks in cross-border business opportunities and ensuring tax compliance in relation to awarded contracts.
- Participating in mergers and acquisitions, investment and restructuring projects, working with tax and structuring related workstreams.
- Analysing the legal entities’ capital structure and ensuring tax optimization and compliance with the Thin Capitalisation rules.
- Driving automation and digitalization projects for tax related processes.
You will be part of the Group Tax team within the Group Finance organisation, reporting directly to the Head of Group Tax. Group Tax has the overall responsibility for direct and indirect taxes and consists of seven tax professionals and one Corporate Paralegal. While Linköping is the preferred location, additional location includes Gothenburg.
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
Your profile
We are looking for a person with analytical skills, together with a solid financial understanding and awareness. You are a structured, business-oriented and self-motivated person taking full ownership of your project. You are able to work independently guiding a business, as well as in teams and enjoys collaboration building trust and long-term relationships with both external partners and internal colleagues at all levels of the organization from different parts of the world.
Your qualifications
- A university degree in the area of finance, law and/or business law
- Relevant work experience from a similar role, preferably from a Big 4 accounting firm and/or similar inhouse role in a multinational group of companies
- IT-skills and knowledge of excel
- Skills in written and verbal communication in both Swedish and English
It is merit if you:
- Have knowledge and experience in tax accounting and tax compliance for public, multinational companies
- Have experience of the finance systems UNIT4/Agresso and Oracle HFM Hyperion is a merit.
