Responsibilities:
The Senior Tax Specialist (f/m/d) Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Tax will be dealing with complex tax matters within such task framework and will be reporting to the Head of German Tax, Group Tax Reporting & M&A Tax. Possible SAP locations for this role are Walldorf (close to Heidelberg), Berlin, Ratingen (close to Düsseldorf), Hallbergmoos (close to Munich) or Eschborn (close to Frankfurt). This position does not include people management responsibilities.
- Providing tax advice in the field of national and international M&A activities (e.g., acquisitions, divestitures, Joint Ventures)
- Providing tax advice in the field of post-acquisition integration processes or group-internal restructurings (including IP consolidation aspects, business model changes etc.)
- Internal and external contact for international tax projects and M&A activities at SAP (including coordination / managing of external tax advisors)
- Managing legal entity consolidation efforts in conjunction with other SAP tax and finance functions and driving such projects for execution
- Preparation of tax due diligence reports or analyses of external tax due diligence reports, initiation of measures for risk reduction and consideration of group tax accounting aspects
- Assistance regarding M&A transactions in the tax field audit cycle
- Preparation of tax opinions for cross-border transactions in the field of M&A or tax planning activities
- Supporting SAP’s private equity / venture capital activities from an international tax perspective
