QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • Current and ongoing registration with HCPC and/or NMC
  • Master’s degree in an appropriate subject OR (if from a professional practice background) a good Honors Degree and an appropriate professional qualification leading to registration with HCPC/NMC

• A teaching qualification or extensive experience of delivering professional and/or university education

  • Active membership of an appropriate professional body

Responsibilities:

The School of Health and Care delivers an extensive range of undergraduate and post graduate courses for professionals working in health and social care settings including nursing, midwifery, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, dietetics, paramedic science, operating department practice, diagnostic radiography, clinical psychology and public health. As we continue to develop our Allied Health Professions educational offer, we have been successful in securing funding to further expand our provision with the development of post registration education including enhanced and advanced CPD.
We are looking to recruit a senior academic with a vision to create and work alongside experts to deliver an innovative post-registration CPD portfolio including injection therapy, clinical and professional skills development in response to employer, practice partner needs . We are keen to hear from Allied Health Professional and/or Nursing registered with HCPC/NMC who have an interest in MSK/Neuro and are qualified to train injection therapy. You will develop partnerships working with regulators, professional bodies, service users, employers, as part of delivering and developing our portfolio sustaining relationships with stakeholders to contribute to high quality education of health and care professionals.
As Senior Teaching Fellow you will be actively involved in the delivery of teaching as part of this role and course co-ordination while supporting the development and delivery of undergraduate, postgraduate, and professional programs and other core activities ensuring students have an effective learning experience. Senior Teaching Fellows lead on aspects of the learning experience including the leadership of staff teams.
