Founded in 1915, the UCL School of Slavonic and East European Studies (SSEES) is one of the UK’s largest institutions for research and teaching on Russia, the Baltics, and Central, Eastern and South-East Europe. Our mission is to create in-depth knowledge of Russia and Eastern Europe in regional, comparative, transnational, and global contexts, and to promote and disseminate an understanding of our region to the wider world; developing multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary, and multi-method approaches to knowledge creation and to teaching; and to enhance the development of area studies at UCL and among the wider academic community.

Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Senior Teaching and Learning Administrator will lead on several specific areas of administration for the School’s undergraduate, postgraduate taught and postgraduate research programmes. In addition, the postholder will deputise for the SSEES Teaching and Learning Manager as required, and will provide professional, comprehensive administrative support for teaching and students in SSEES at all levels.
The position sits within the School’s Education and Student Support Office (ESSO) Team, comprising the School’s Professional Services staff engaged in teaching and student support. The postholder will ensure best practice is implemented across the teaching administration team and address issues that arise, by providing leadership and support. The postholder will be expected to develop and maintain a positive team spirit, leading by example and contributing to a culture of shared goals and achievements.
