This career step requires senior level experience where this person is responsible for the development of high performance, distributed modeling tasks using Machine Learning and Data Science.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Engineering required.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Typically requires 3-5 years experience in the following:
- The position requires expertise in Python, SQL, Data-Bricks, SnowFlake, Palantir Foundry, Docker, and Kubernetes under a distributed cloud environment.
- Familiarity with JVM-based function languages including Scala and Java is preferred, along with Hadoop query languages including Pig, Hive, Scalding, Cascalog, PyCascading.
- Apache Flink computing frameworks including Spark/Databricks and IBM InfoSphere Streams are desirable.
- Experience using Big Data programming languages and technology to write code.
Technical Career Pathway (TCP) role.
Responsibilities:
- Completes programming and documentation, and then performs testing and debugging of applications.
- Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs and modifies software enhancements and/or new products used in distributed, large-scale analytics and visualization solutions.
- Interacts with data scientists and industry experts to understand how data needs to be converted, loaded and presented.
- Works in a highly agile environment.
