QUALIFICATION, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Any “Technical Assistant” according to the German educational system (BTA, CTA, MTA, UTA, MLTA, …)
- Any “Laborant” according to the German educational system (Biologie-Laborant, Chemie-Laborant, …)
- Bachelor of Science with a biological, biotechnological or (bio-)chemical background
SKILLS
- Proficiency in English and German, both written and spoken
- Basic knowledge of gene therapy, AAV vectors and their applications
- Experience with analytical methods such as qPCR, ddPCR, ELISA
- Experience with adherent and suspension cell culture technology
- A high level of accuracy, reliability, and attention to detail
- A familiarity with electronic laboratory notebooks
- A strong sense of responsibility and initiative
Responsibilities:
- Support and interact with a multi-disciplinary development team bringing together all aspects of characterization and improvement of AAV-based viral vectors for gene therapy
- Perform cell culture of adherent and suspension mammalian cell lines
- Execute small-scale production and purification of AAV vectors
- Perform broad range of analytical assays to characterize AAV vectors
- Perform molecular biology techniques such as PCR, cloning, sequencing
- Record, document and report experimental results and data
- Operate and maintain laboratory instruments
