The Co-operators is looking for a Technical Consultant in the Information Technology department to join its Emerging Business Model (EBM) Tech team located in Toronto, Ontario, for a 12-month term, starting in August 2024.
When you join EBM Tech, you’ll instantly become a key member of an agile, energetic, and diligent digital platform management team to maintain operational excellence at scale and support a wide variety of next-gen integrated propositions.
The Technical Consultant will be accountable for the availability, stability, integrity and efficiency of the highly complex technology platform and environments. With a focus on EBM platform reliability, the incumbent will ensure that technical services in that area are provided to clients to meet both the current and future business needs, and that defined service levels for performance and availability are being met. This includes monitoring, research, incident response, project consulting, and ongoing maintenance to provide technical leadership and guidance to others.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

  • Working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Extended work hours, including evenings and weekends, may be required.
  • Rotational on-call schedule, with shifts during evenings and weekends may be required.
  • You will be subject to a Background check as per requirement of this position as a condition of employment.
