Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU’LL DO
In this role, you’ll be part of a cross-discipline group of developers whose role is to evaluate tools and features in development for the Creator Community. The Alpha Team designs and builds example projects, exploring game mechanics and gameplay features to test the readiness of Fortnite Ecosystem features before release. These examples may then become sample projects for the community, the subject of blog posts or other educational material, or regression tests for QA.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL
- Own the design and implementation of novel gameplay experiences from start to finish, driving the vision forward as well as possible using the tools available
- Drive collaborative and iterative prototyping, both “paper"-based and in-game
- Lead Ideation sessions for the team on how to best approach evaluation of the new features available, making interesting new gameplay and experiences that may not have been considered in the original implementation
- Provide clear, considered feedback and propose potential improvements for new tools and features; identify practical solutions to problems
- Be an advocate for the Creator Experience
- Lead by example to set the quality bar for design
