ABOUT THE ROLE:

This role goes beyond traditional management—it’s an opportunity to shape the future of our mechanical engineering practice. You will work with a team of engineers and technologists, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services that include engineering design, regulatory compliance, and innovative low-carbon solutions.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL REPORT TO:

Until the Mechanical Engineering business leadership is established in Mississauga, the Senior Technical Manager will report to the National Practice Lead for Mechanical, while also receiving local support for day-to-day operations from the Mississauga office.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING AT PINCHIN

  • Lead and manage the Mechanical Engineering team, overseeing project delivery, design reviews, and quality assurance.
  • Implement strategies to expand the Mississauga office and its capabilities, with potential for assuming a broader leadership role.
  • Drive client development by maintaining and growing client relationships, and actively participating in business development activities.
  • Lead the design and management of mechanical HVAC, plumbing systems, and low-carbon electrification projects.
  • Manage and participate in energy audits, specialist reports, and GHG reduction studies in existing buildings.
  • Mentor and develop junior staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
  • Prepare cost estimates, business cases, and detailed project reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide thought leadership by means of Webinars and client presentations
