  • BEng in a STEM subject - Be technically minded to author, review and critique Technical Publications, with the best interests of the company and the customer in mind.
  • Structured and organised in the way they approach work; possesses good planning and reporting skills
  • Demonstrates an inclusive approach to working with colleagues and customers from around the world
  • Have an appreciation for the wider context in which the AFM Engineering team operate - be able to identify opportunities for business and areas of opportunity
  • Experience in Technical Publications and Airworthiness
  • Experience leading small teams to deliver documentations updates, in particular remote teams
  • Engineering experience in the Aerospace industry, preferably with knowledge of aircraft systems

Responsibilities:

WHAT DOES THE ROLE LOOK LIKE?

This is an exciting opportunity to become the Senior Technical Publications Engineer within Actuation Systems, a pivotal role across all Value Streams and Platforms. The holder of role will be responsible for the planning, management and delivery of all Technical Publications activities in Wolverhampton.

WHAT WILL YOUR DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES LOOK LIKE?

  • Oversight of all Technical Publications activities in Wolverhampton, and supporting parallel activities in St Ouen and Turin, in particular around Portal access.
  • Supporting the Product Support Engineers in the team with publication reviews and authoring
  • Management of the Technical Publications projects, monitoring timescales and reporting progress to the AFM Engineering Lead
  • Managing the GECI team to deliver the Technical Publications updates
  • Liaising with both internal and external customers and providing them with excellent customer service
  • General ownership, housekeeping and maintenance of Technical Publications folders.
  • Supporting resource management; reporting monthly on resource needs and working with the wider team to ensure activities are adequately resourced
  • Managing Portal access and assisting others where required
  • Travel to other sites when required
