Description:

  • Delivers technical support and solutions for infrastructure services within NHS England
  • Manages relationships between Infrastructure Teams and internal/external stakeholders
  • Supplier management to meet key performance indicators and agreed Service Levels for hosted systems
  • Supporting the Services hosted in the Infrastructure on-premises and cloud environments
  • Actively contribute to our technical and operational strategy using your specialist knowledge
  • Pro-actively provides input and support to high severity incidents for the multiple critical national systems and environments supporting NHS Live Services.
  • Manages and maintains own professional knowledge and development in their technical specialism and embraces development opportunities to support new technologies, frameworks and services including the move to Cloud.
  • Demonstrable and significant experience of working in a high-pressure enterprise digital environment including both Public Cloud native and on-premises IaaS infrastructure
  • Extensive experience managing and working in multi-disciplinary teams across multiple stages in delivery lifecycles
  • Experience across medium and large sized portfolios, projects, products or services with low to medium risk, in a complex stakeholder and digital product environment, ideally supporting the delivery of health and social care
  • Experience of communicating at a high level, building rapport and relationships across a diverse organisation
  • Experience of working within the ITIL framework, and an understanding of value principles.
  • Subject Matter Expert in any of a wide variety of digital solutions and products, including but not limited to;
  • Microsoft Windows Server
  • Microsoft Server SQL
  • Microsoft Active Directory
  • Microsoft Azure Entra ID
  • VMware including ESXi and vCenter
  • Multi-platform backup solutions
  • Remote Desktop Solution (RDS)
    This role may be base in Leeds, London or Exeter
