Description:

We are seeking a senior level Technical Writer to join our team in Pittsburgh, PA for a 12-month contract in a hybrid environment! If you possess 6+ years of experience creating, maintaining, and documenting technical policies and procedures supporting an emerging technology, please apply today!

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 10 years of experience in technical writing, research, and documentation (or a minimum of 15+ years without a degree), preferably with a background in Financial Services, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of relevant field experience.
  • Strong background in policy writing, analysis, research, and emerging technology.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration tools.
  • Understanding of internal auditing practices and challenges related to policy and procedure documentation.
  • Excellent technical writing skills, including research and policy documentation.
  • Familiarity with a broad range of emerging technologies.
  • Highly motivated, hardworking individual comfortable with ambiguity and capable of meeting deadlines with limited supervision.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize information and draw accurate, logical, and actionable conclusions

Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain policies and procedure documentation for various technology concepts.
  • Translate complex technical information into clear, concise documents tailored for different audiences.
  • Review, critique, and edit both existing and draft documentation.
  • Collaborate with technology control management leads and application teams to produce policy and process documentation, including multi-level policy guidance and technical procedures.
  • Conduct interviews with subject matter experts and technical staff to gather information, prepare written content, and organize material within defined structures.
  • Lead or assist in business requirement gathering sessions and work with stakeholders to document business requirements.
  • Develop and lead the implementation of business process improvement recommendations.
  • Maintain the internal documentation library, coordinate special documentation services, and oversee special projects.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and provide regular briefings to management.
  • Work independently within a larger cross-functional team.
  • Assist with project coordination, support, and documentation.
