Description:
We are seeking a senior level Technical Writer to join our team in Pittsburgh, PA for a 12-month contract in a hybrid environment! If you possess 6+ years of experience creating, maintaining, and documenting technical policies and procedures supporting an emerging technology, please apply today!
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 10 years of experience in technical writing, research, and documentation (or a minimum of 15+ years without a degree), preferably with a background in Financial Services, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10+ years of relevant field experience.
- Strong background in policy writing, analysis, research, and emerging technology.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration tools.
- Understanding of internal auditing practices and challenges related to policy and procedure documentation.
- Excellent technical writing skills, including research and policy documentation.
- Familiarity with a broad range of emerging technologies.
- Highly motivated, hardworking individual comfortable with ambiguity and capable of meeting deadlines with limited supervision.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize information and draw accurate, logical, and actionable conclusions
Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain policies and procedure documentation for various technology concepts.
- Translate complex technical information into clear, concise documents tailored for different audiences.
- Review, critique, and edit both existing and draft documentation.
- Collaborate with technology control management leads and application teams to produce policy and process documentation, including multi-level policy guidance and technical procedures.
- Conduct interviews with subject matter experts and technical staff to gather information, prepare written content, and organize material within defined structures.
- Lead or assist in business requirement gathering sessions and work with stakeholders to document business requirements.
- Develop and lead the implementation of business process improvement recommendations.
- Maintain the internal documentation library, coordinate special documentation services, and oversee special projects.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and provide regular briefings to management.
- Work independently within a larger cross-functional team.
- Assist with project coordination, support, and documentation.
