The hotel’s Maintenance Specialist helps us to ensure flawless and comfortable experiences, and is key to ensuring our teams are able to perform effectively and efficiently daily in order to craft an unforgettable journey for our guests.

You’ll be in charge of:

  • Promptly respond to front desk reports of guest/tenant’s problems or concerns, informs the front desk when action is complete so the front desk update maintenance records
  • Carry out preventive / breakdown maintenance on all plumbing and sanitary systems of the Hotel to ensure that there is no chokage/ blockage in the plumbing and sanitary systems.
  • Operate and carry out preventive / breakdown maintenance on all mechanical equipment such as air conditioning system, freezer, refrigerators, pumps, coolers, ice-makers and other refrigeration equipment.
  • To operate and carry out preventive maintenance and repairs of all electrical installations and equipment such as generator, fire protection system (including emergency lighting), internal and external lighting, etc. at the hotel – including preventive maintenance for all 38 guestrooms.
  • Able to carry out M&E installation and repair work
  • Construct and repair furniture such as cabinet, cupboard, table, chairs, doors and props.
  • To place order for materials, fittings and tools according to specifications needed for carpentry.
  • To ensure that standards of operation, safety and housekeeping are up to standard.
  • Assist in energy conservation programme and participate in fire-fighting and safety exercise, where needed.
  • To know the procedures of firefighting.
  • To minimize energy wastage.
  • To carry out any other duties when directed by the Superior.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess at least Nitec in Electrical, Mechanical or Building Services or equivalent.
  • Preferably with minimum 2 years of experience in Engineering related industries.
  • Experience in the hotel industry will be an advantage.
  • Possess skills in maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing of building equipment
  • Good communication skills
  • Willingness to learn and work as a team member
  • Possess high level of integrity and respect for others
