Senior Technologist – All locations

Thinkspace has recently secured several exciting projects, and we have an immediate opportunity for a Senior Technologist to assist with design, construction document production and coordination. The position can be based in our Surrey, Kelowna or Victoria offices.

Candidates must present comprehensive and well-rounded qualifications, including:

• extensive experience drafting detailed drawings for all delivery phases
• thorough understanding of construction detailing, working drawings and contract administration
• sound knowledge of building envelope systems, preferably for institutional projects
• well-versed in local building codes and construction methods
• manage projects & teams: draw, review and prepare technical drawings throughout all phases of the project
• oversees drafting, review shop drawings, and respond to RFIs
• coordination of the project team’s work

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Architectural and Building Technology from an accredited institution
• 10 to 15+ years of progressive and relevant experience in Canada
• Self motivated with an inquisitive technical aptitude and design sense
• Solid communication skills for a team-based working environment
• Proficient technical abilities in Revit, Sketch-up, Photoshop and Lumion and/or Enscape
